timer or any other device that switches the  
heater on automatically. Since a fire risk may  
exist if the heater is covered or positioned

13. This heater is not intended for use in wet  
or moist locations. Do not use this heater  
in the immediate surroundings of a bath,  
a shower or a swimming pool. Do not  
immerse or allow liquids to be spilt on  
heater.

14. This heater has hot and arcing or sparking  
parts inside. Do not use in areas where  
petrol, paints, aerosols, or other inflammable  
substances are used or stored.  
WARNING: in order to avoid overheating  
do not cover the heater.  
15. Do not operate the heater with the power  
cord damaged, frayed or split, wound around  
any part of the heater, or in contact with  
heated surfaces of the heater. Do not allow  
materials that have been in contact with oil,  
petroleum based products or drying fluids to  
come in contact with the heater  
1. Avoid touching heater body while it is on,  
some parts of the heater are hot. When  
moving the unit switch off and hold the heater  
by the handles where provided.  
2. Keep combustible materials such as drapes and  
other furnishings at least 1.7 metres from the  
front, sides and rear of the heater. Do not use  
heater to dry your laundry.  
16. Do not run the cord under carpeting or  
cover the cord with rugs, runners or the  
like. Arrange cord away from traffic areas  
and where it will not be tripped over.  
3. Extreme caution and supervision is necessary  
when this heater is used by or near children,  
invalids or animals.  
17. To disconnect heater push the heat control  
all the way down to OFF, then switch off at  
the power outlet then remove plug from its  
outlet.  
4. This heater is not intended for use by persons  
(including children) with reduced physical,  
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of  
experience and knowledge, unless they  
have been given supervision or instruction  
concerning use of the appliance by a person  
responsible for their safety.  
18. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to  
pass through the inlet or outlet openings.  
This may cause an electric shock, fire or  
damage the heater.  
19. To prevent a possible fire or heat damage,  
allow ample space around the heater (at  
1.7m at front and 0.5m at the rear, top  
and sides) and do not totally or partially  
block the air inlet or outlets in any manner.  
Check the openings from time to time for  
accumulated dust. Ensure long shag carpet  
does not obstruct airflow under the unit.  
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that  
they do not play with the heater.  
6. Important – this heater is intended for floor  
use only. Do not mount on ceiling or walls.  
7. Do not leave heater unattended. Always  
switch off the heater at the controls and at  
the power outlet then unplug heater from the

outlet, then unplug and allow heater to cool  
down before cleaning or storing. Use this  
heater only as described in this instruction  
manual. Any other use not recommended  
by the manufacture may cause fire electric  
shock or injury and voids all warranties.  
5. To decrease the heat settings push down on  
the heat control. There will be an audible  
click as the wedge moves through the  
settings.  
6. To turn the heater OFF push the heat  
control (used to select “LOW” HEAT or  
“HIGH” HEAT settings) all the way down  
and the heater will turn off. The power  
indicator light will go out.  
21. Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug,  
control settings, air inlets and outlets and  
main housing for any damage. If found  
damaged in any way, immediately cease use  
of the heater and return to Kambrook or an  
authorised service agent for inspection or  
repair.  
Thermostat control  
Turn the heat control to the HIGH setting by  
pulling the knob up. Pull up the thermostat  
control to the highest thermostat setting.  
22. The installation of a residual current device  
(safety switch) is recommended to provide  
additional safety protection when using  
electrical appliances. It is advisable that a  
safety switch with a rated residual operating  
current not exceeding 30mA be installed in  
the electrical circuit. See your electrician for  
professional advice.  
Let the heater run until the desired room  
temperature is achieved.Then push the knob  
down until you hear a click sound.The unit will  
stop.At this setting, your heater will automatically  
cycle on and off to maintain the desired room  
temperature.  
HOW TO OPERATE:  
Once the thermostat is activaed, you can simply  
pull the knob up or down if you want to change  
the temperature.  
1. Remove your heater from its carton and  
associated protective wrapping, and unwind  
the cord to its full length and remove any  
protective cardboard or foam that may  
have been used to minimize transportation  
damage. Place the heater on a firm, level  
surface in a stable upright position. Visually  
inspect the air inlet and outlets to ensure no  
foreign material is blocking these areas. The  
heater must always be operated with the  
rear air filter in position.  
Thermo Guard Overheating Safety Device  
Your heater is fitted with a safety device  
that switches off the heater in the event of  
overheating. Should this heater stop working, turn  
off the heater and inspect for blockages in air  
inlet or outlets.Wait at least five minutes for the  
protection system to reset before attempting to  
restart the heater.  
2. Plug the cord into a 230-240V electrical  
outlet. Be sure the plug fits tightly as a loose  
fit will cause overheating and damage the  
plug. To avoid an electrical circuit overload,  
it is recommended that no other appliances  
are plugged into the same circuit with your  
heater when you switch the unit on.  
If the heater fails to operate or the safety device  
switches off again, return the heater to your  
nearest service centre for examination or repair.  
3. This heater has three heat control settings  
OFF, ”LOW” HEAT AND “HIGH” HEAT,  
located at the top of the unit, along with  
an adjustable thermostat control. “LOW”  
HEAT (750W) is the lowest heat setting and  
“HIGH” HEAT (1500W) is the highest.  
4. To select these settings DO NOT twist  
or rotate the heat control and thermostat  
control located on the top of the heater.  
To turn the heater on, grip the heat setting  
knob and lightly pull all the way up to the  
“HIGH” setting. There will be an audible  
click as the wedge moves through the  
settings. The power indicator light will  
illuminate to indicate that power is on.  
 
CARE AND MAINTENANCE  
• Always turn off and then unplug the heater  
before cleaning  
• Use only a clean, dry cloth to clean the external  
surfaces of the heater only.  
• If the heater has collected dust or dirt inside  
the unit or around the elements, have the unit  
cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not  
operate the heater in this condition.  
• Do not attempt to open the case of the heater  
at any time there are no customer serviceable  
parts inside.  
When not in use, pack the heater, preferably in  
its original box for best protection and store in a  
cool, clean and dry location.  
The air filter at the rear of the heater can be  
easily cleaned by removing the filter casing panel  
and removing the mesh filter.A basic clean in  
warm water to remove any build up is adequate  
and allow time to completely dry before  
replacing the filter and the filter casing panel.  
 
KAMBROOK 12 MONTH REPLACEMENT WARRANTY  
If the product includes one or a number of  
accessories only the defective accessory  
or product will be replaced. In the event of  
Kambrook choosing to replace the appliance, the  
guarantee will expire at the original date, i.e. 12  
months from the original date of purchase.  
Kambrook warrants the purchaser against defects  
in workmanship and material for a period of 12  
months from the date of purchase (3 months  
commercial use).  
Guarantee and purchase receipt for this product  
are to be retained as proof of purchase and  
must be presented if making a claim under the  
Kambrook guarantee.  
In Australia, this KAMBROOK Guarantee is  
additional to the conditions and guarantees which  
are mandatory as implied by the Trade Practises  
Act 1974 and State and Territory legislation.  
Kambrook reserves the right to replace or repair  
the appliance within the warranty period,

Warranty does not apply to any defect,  
deterioration, loss, injury or damage occasioned  
by, or as a result of the misuse or abuse, negligent

kneading blades.
